Welcome to the Vaporize Your PTSD Blog

My name is Tom Stone and I am the founder of Great Life Technologies, Inc. I realize that to state that we can Vaporize Your PTSD may sound unrealistic to you. After all, so far Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or as it is referred to PTSD has pretty well defied any really good solutions much less ones that can quickly and thoroughly truly solve this massive problem. But as you read on I'll explain why what it is that we do is so different and so much more effective than everything else that has been tried previously.

The ineffectiveness of current approaches

Most approaches to PTSD are either suppressing symptoms, desensitizing to the effects of the trauma or learning to cope with it. None of these approaches are actually solving the problem. Our approach is unlike all of these. It is "out-of-the-box." And an out-of-the-box solution is exactly what is needed as the attempts that are being made now that are in-the-box aren't working.

Why are most people not good at self-healing from traumas?

The truth is that human beings are not very good at resolving emotional pain and trauma. And it is this very basic inability to resolve emotional pain and trauma that is at the root of this problem. In fact a massive scientific study of over 17,000 participants called the ACE Study (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study) clearly indicates that people do not tend to self-heal from traumatic experiences, not even in fifty years. Why are people not good at doing this? And is there anything that can be done to change this situation?

In order to understand why people don't tend to self-heal from traumatic events or even heal using traditional therapies, it would be good to ask the question - "Is this inability to self-heal from emotionally traumatic events something that is just intrinsic to being a human being or is there something that causes people to develop this inability even if at a very early age that is so common as to be universal but that is actually something that can be changed? What I discovered is that, fortunately, it does appear to be the second of these possibilities.

My personal experience of overcoming PTSD

Back in the early 1990's I took an avid interest in finding the answers to such questions. This is because I experienced an event that caused me to have to overcome my own PTSD. On December 7, 1993 a deranged stranger came to the front door of my home in Fairfield, Iowa, pulled out a .44 caliber hand gun and shot me in the chest at close range. I found out later that 1 in 100,000 people would have survived such an assault and one in a million would have come away from the experience with as little damage to limbs or organs as I had. I didn't loose any organs or limbs and the only real remaining physical consequence is some numbness in my right foot. It was however, certainly a traumatic event. I was already interested in alternative healing methods so during my personal recovery from this incident I started to look for answers as to why it is that people have such a hard time healing from traumatic experiences. I needed to find my own solution and fortunately I found it.

New insights into why we don't self-heal from traumatic experiences

What I discovered was that during our very early childhood we all have the experience of being emotionally overwhelmed. There seems to be a universal interpretation of this experience which is - we hate it! In fact we hate it so much that we make what I call a "feeling-level decision" - that means we make a decision at the level of feeling, without any words to it, to do our very best to not get emotionally overwhelmed. We put a lid on allowing ourselves access to our own innate capacity to feel, especially if the feeling is intense.

Now an interesting thing happens. As we grow up and start to begin to communicate with words, we forget that we made this decision but we continue to live inside its influence without even realizing that it is there. We are so deeply conditioned to resist feeling things fully and the decision to avoid feeling was pre-verbal so we don't even remember that we made this decision.

The consequence is that when we have intense emotional or traumatic experiences we do our best not to feel them and certainly not to be overwhelmed by them. Emotions occur as patterns of energy in our body. They are not merely mental experiences but rather very much experiences that occur in our bodies. What is an emotional experience in the body? It's the experience of a pattern of energy. Emotions are patterns of energy in our body. But because we are so resistant to feeling and completing intense emotional experiences we hold these energy patterns in our bodies and don't complete them. This matches the ACE Study's finding that we don't self-heal from early childhood traumas but this is true for adult traumas as well.

The result of not healing previous traumatic experiences is that we tend to store all of the unresolved traumatic energy in our body. We archive it. We hope that we won't have to deal with it. But it's there under the surface and certain situations can trigger it and bring it right to the surface. People with PTSD know this all too well. Suppressing the symptoms doesn't make them go away. And sometimes it doesn't take much to trigger them, big time!

So is there anyway to come out of this deeply conditioned pattern of feeling avoidance and the severe limitations on self-healing from traumas that it creates? YES! Fortunately there finally is.

New techniques that really work to vaporize PTSD

I have discovered a technique that guides people to do the opposite of what they are deeply conditioned to do. This technique guides a person to go to the center of the intensity of the energy field of the trauma held in the body and feel down into the very center of the most intense part of the energy. The instruction is to feel right into the center of the energy so thoroughly that there is nothing left to feel. What this does is to complete the experience of the incomplete trauma energy that has been held there. This happens quickly, usually within a few moments or minutes. It is amazing how simple it is and how easy it is to do this. This technique, called the CORE Technique, is one of 8 techniques that have been developed within a new field that I am pioneering called Human Software Engineering. CORE is an acronym for Center Of Remaining Energy which describes the process very well.

Results of using the CORE Technique

The result of doing the CORE Technique thoroughly on any emotionally charged or traumatic energy in the body is that when you have felt it so thoroughly that there is nothing left to feel then it is truly gone. It isn't suppressed or desensitized. It's completely gone.

For example, in a recent session with a veteran who was deployed twice to Iraq he mentioned that one trauma he had was from being in a compound that was attacked by mortars. When he got back home to Southern California and was at Camp Pendleton during artillery practice he would get a very nervous feeling and major adrenalin rush in his solar plexus. This soldier did not consider himself to be PTSD but he had been traumatized by this experience. I took him through the use of the CORE Technique to complete the experience of the energy he was still holding in his solar plexus area. Within just a few minutes it was completely gone and he was amazed and delighted. The video of him going through the session will be posted soon.

Becoming competent and skillful at resolving the underlying basis of PTSD

PTSD is made up of a collection of residual influences of overwhelming traumatic experiences that are held in the body AND without the knowledge of how to resolve them. As mentioned above the basic problem is never having learned how to do this. This is because up until now the knowledge of how to do this has not been widely available. In fact, very few people have learned how to access and use this innate natural ability that everyone actually has.

Taking the Vaporize Your Anxiety program includes learning how to complete traumatic experiences which resolves the underlying incomplete traumatic experience. In addition, you learn to get so good at doing this that if any additional traumas are still deeply archived in your system that didn't get identified and resolved during the program, you have the ability to resolve them yourself. This is because the Vaporize Your PTSD program massively upgrades your own ability to resolve emotional pain and trauma. It trains you in how to be self-sufficient and masterful at resolving emotional pain and trauma. Everyone has the latent ability to do this but no one has shown you how. This is simply because they haven't know how themselves. The knowledge of how to do this has not been broadly available until very recently. This is new!

Vets Helping Vets

One of the other great things about the Vaporize Your PTSD program is that you don't have to have training as a psychologist or even as a counselor to learn how to guide people through this program. The Vaporize Your PTSD program is a part of the new emerging field of Human Software Engineering. The criteria for becoming a Human Software Engineer is primarily just having the desire to help people resolve their traumas. Great Life Technologies, Inc. will be holding our first Vaporize Your PTSD training to train veterans who have already been through the Vaporize Your PTSD program in how to be program trainers. The program starts with an 8 day training in Southern California (in or near Carlsbad, CA - venue TBA) followed by on going support and further training via live webinars. Partial and full scholarships are available for qualified applicants. Although this training is focused on vets, you do not have to be a veteran to apply. Others with PTSD such as policemen, firefighters, rescue workers, rape victims, victims of violent crimes, etc. may also attend as the techniques for resolving these issues are the same.

New Career Opportunities - Really Great Jobs!

Great Life Technologies will then be hiring graduates of the Vaporize Your PTSD training program to build up our capacity to help veterans and others with PTSD to eliminate the debilitating effects of this serious problem. This means that graduates of the training will have new and wonderful career opportunities as a Human Software Engineer, able to make much better income than most other professions they could train for while helping fellow vets and others overcome PTSD.
